The Victors
Many airmen take their first steps in aviation at a local flying club. Belgium has many clubs where the pleasure of flying is accessible to all and a rich club life adds life to the local community.
Formation Team The Victors are part of Vliegclub Ursel, in the heart of the beautiful Meetjesland. They fly four Piper PA-28 sport planes, one of the most popular types of sport planes in the world. These aircraft are very reliable but do not have an abundance of power. This is what makes The Victors' demonstration so remarkable: It takes unparalleled skill to fly a smooth demonstration in close formation with these aircraft. Their demonstration is also a reminder of the Ursel airfield's rich history as a liberation airfield during World War II. They have been popular guests at airshows in Belgium and far beyond to share their piloting skills with the public for almost 20 years.
Visit the Belgian Air Force Days at Kleine-Brogel on 9 and 10 September and who knows, you too might get a taste for aviation and be tempted to visit your local flying club. Join the new generation!
