A Different Version of the F‑35
During the BAF Days, Italy will be represented by a particularly unique aircraft: the F‑35B Lightning II.
Unlike the standard versions of the F‑35, the B variant stands out thanks to its STOVL (Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing) capability. .
Exceptional Operational Flexibility
This capability allows the aircraft to take off over a short distance and land vertically. It can therefore operate from aircraft carriers or bases with limited infrastructure, providing great operational flexibility.
Italy uses this version primarily in a naval context, making it a key element of its modern airpower capabilities.
A Rare Public Appearance
At the BAF Days, this impressive aircraft will be displayed in a static exhibition, giving the public a rare opportunity to see up close a unique version of the F‑35.
