Our F‑16AM aircraft will be present both on the ground and in the air.
These aircraft remain a key part of our Defence capabilities and continue to play an essential role in our fighter fleet.

A versatile and proven fighter

The F 16AM is employed in a wide range of missions: air defence, interception, advanced training, operational preparation and international deployments.
Its agility, powerful engine and multirole design make it well suited to modern operational requirements.

Getting to Know the F 16AM

The F 16AM is an upgraded version of the iconic F 16 Fighting Falcon, adapted to European standards.

General characteristics (standard F 16AM model)

  • Role: multirole fighter aircraft
  • Length: 15 m
  • Wingspan: 9,45 m
  • Engine: Pratt & Whitney F100 or GE F110
  • Maximum speed: Mach 2+
  • Range: approx. 1,600 km (mission dependent)
  • Feature: bubble canopy cockpit offering panoramic visibility

These specifications allow the aircraft to perform both homeland defence tasks and international deployments.
